Week DOS
All throughout my senior year of high school different college reps. came to tell us about their schools. None of the schools that came interested me whatsoever until the Art Institute people came. They talked about all of the different programs and what they offered and it sounded exactly what i wanted from college and from then on I knew that I was going to attend the Art Institute. Pittsburgh is only like an hour and a half from my hometown too so it was perfect.
I didn’t know too much about Pittsburgh at that point in my life though. I knew they had a badass football and hockey team and that was basically it. I have never lived in a big city before so i was very nervous about moving here. Especially since my school was right in downtown Pittsburgh. I was coming to a place where i didn’t have a single friend and I was very scared about that. I was even more nervous about having to live in a dorm room with people that I have never met before.
It turns out i got roomed with some really cool people and things were great. I loved my classes and teachers and still do. I enjoy the city life more then back home.. there’s more to do and just never a dull moment really. The police always seemed to be stalking my friends and I back home and just jerks but it’s better here…police have way more crime and things to worry about then hoodlum teenagers. It’s great living in the city, but it’s also nice that I live close enough to home that i can go visit on weekends and breaks. So yayyy Pittsburgh!
